Inceptions Cohort for Juvenile Systemic Sclerosis (jSSc)

Design: Inceptions cohort

Inclusion criteria: Patients with jSSc, with a disease course less than 18 months with skin involvement and fulfilling one minor criteria of jSSc according the new proposed classification criteria (ref Zulian et al). The patient is allowed to fulfill criteria for other connective tissue diseases, like MCTD, or SLE, but has to also fulfill the criteria for jSSc. JSSc will be defined according the new preliminary classification criteria for jSSc.

Exclusion criteria: Patient does not fulfill one major and one minor criteria of juvenile systemic sclerosis at time of entry into the cohort

Primary outcome measure: To assess patients with early onset jSSc prospectively with a standardized assessment method

Recruitment period: Planned follow up period is at least 36 months after the inclusion of the patient into the cohort. Depending on the flow of the project, eventually an extension of the observation period is planned.
